Grassroots sport is full of young people. SportsGPT is designed with their safety first.
Our commitments
- Privacy by default for minors. Under-18 accounts can't publish public pages; their uploads stay private until a parent or guardian consents (guardian tools are coming).
- Initials for youth players. Scoresheets marked as youth (e.g. "division: U14" or "youth: yes") show player names as initials on recaps and public pages. Clubs can configure this.
- No betting for minors. Betting and odds content is never shown to under-18s. The free, points-only prediction game has no money and no odds, so it's open to everyone as a learning tool.
- Age-appropriate answers. Stricter filtering, encouraging tone, and no dieting, weight-cutting or supplement advice for teens.
- Positive sportsmanship. We don't generate content that mocks or bullies players, officials or opponents.
- Healthy guidance. Training and nutrition tips are general, never medical. We always suggest consulting a qualified professional.
- Wellbeing. If someone mentions self-harm we provide crisis resources: Canada 988, Kids Help Phone 1-800-668-6868 (text 686868), US 988, India Tele-MANAS 14416.
For clubs and coaches
- Get consent from parents/guardians before uploading youth players' data.
- Follow your sport's safeguarding rules (e.g. Rugby Canada, Cricket Canada, the Responsible Coaching Movement, the Coaching Association of Canada's Safe Sport training, BCCI/state association guidelines).
- Never share minors' contact details, schools or photos without consent.
Reporting
Use Report on any response, or email [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local police (911 in Canada/US, 112 in India).
